05.14.2014 Coral Springs, FL NAV-TV PRESS RELEASE *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*
NAV-TV ADDS PLUG-AND-PLAY REAR VIEW CAMERA INTEGRATION TO 2014 PORSCHE 911 (991)
The Porsche 911 is an iconic car, revered by automobile enthusiasts and drivers alive. The smooth lines and aggressive power plant, coupled with a finely honed sports suspension, have made the Porsche 911 a desirable automobile for decades. What really makes the 911 stand out among "exotic" sports cars, besides the obvious, is that the Porsche 911 is engineered so well that it is reliable enough to be an everyday driver. The ****pit is filled with gadgets and, located in the center of the dash of every 2014 911, is an available state-of-the-art PCM3.1 infotainment system. The only technological advancement that Porsche engineers left out of the current 2014 911 is a rear view camera standard in every vehicle.
A rear view camera has been proven to be the safest deterrent to avoid hitting an obstacle or person while backing up. With the recent passage of a law requiring all vehicles under 10,000 pounds to be equipped with a rear view camera by 2018, there has never been more customer awareness of the automotive safety category, specifically rear view cameras, than there is today. Customer awareness of this profitable safety category opens up an enormous opportunity for 12 volts retailers and, as of today, the 2014 911 can be added to the large list of opportunities. NAV-TV is proud to announce that they have added the 2014 Porsche 911 (991) with the PCM3.1 radio to their long list of plug-and-play rear view camera offerings!
The PCM3.1-CAM is a plug-and-play rear view camera integration module that allows an aftermarket rear view camera to be viewed on the factory PCM3.1 navigation radio whenever the vehicle is placed into reverse. No dealer programming is required. In fact, the Porsche dealership cannot add this feature to any vehicle on the lot, making it an extremely attractive product. No modification is made to the vehicle or the radio, allowing the vehicle to go back to factory easily and without voiding the factory radio warranty. For ease of installation, the PCM3.1 CAM supplies a 1 amp, 12 volt + output intended to power the aftermarket rear view camera. To ensure proper operation, viewing angle and use in low light conditions, NAV-TV suggests coupling the PCM3.1 CAM with their CAM 6 Sony HAD II Super CCD rear view camera.
